What our Windows reinstall service includes
A Windows reinstall is not just wiping and starting over. Done properly it involves backing up your data first, performing a clean installation (not a Windows reset or refresh), activating Windows correctly, installing the right drivers for your specific hardware, setting up Windows Update, installing your essential software, and migrating your personal files and settings back. We handle every step.
Data backup before reinstall
Before we touch the operating system, we back up your documents, photos, desktop, downloads, browser bookmarks, and any other data you want to keep. We confirm the backup is readable before proceeding. If your drive is failing and data is at risk, we address that first — our data recovery service can retrieve files even from damaged drives.
Clean Windows installation
We install Windows from official Microsoft media — not a third-party ISO. This ensures you get a genuine, bloatware-free installation with the correct edition for your licence (Home or Pro). We activate Windows using your existing digital licence or product key and confirm the activation status before returning the machine.
Driver installation
Windows Update does not always install the best drivers for your hardware — particularly for graphics cards, audio, and network adapters. We install manufacturer-recommended drivers from official sources, ensuring Wi-Fi, sound, display resolution and any specialist peripherals work correctly from day one.
Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration
Windows 10 reaches end of support in October 2025. If your hardware meets the Windows 11 requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, 8th-gen Intel or Ryzen 2000 CPU or newer), we handle the upgrade cleanly. If your hardware does not officially qualify, we advise on whether an unofficial route is appropriate for your use case, or whether it is time for a hardware upgrade.
Software reinstall and data migration
We reinstall your core applications (Office, antivirus, printers, browser extensions), restore your personal files from the backup, and run a final performance check to confirm the system is running as expected. We can also remove any unwanted manufacturer bloatware from new PCs as part of the same service.
When should you reinstall Windows rather than repair it?
A reinstall is the right call when the OS is corrupted beyond repair, the PC is severely slow after years of accumulated software, you have just recovered from a serious malware infection and want a guaranteed clean slate, or you are selling or repurposing the machine. For software-only slowness where Windows is still intact, our malware removal and cleanup service may be sufficient and quicker.

A full Windows reinstall including data backup, clean installation, drivers, and basic software setup starts from £29. Windows 10 to 11 migration with data backup and verification starts from £75. Prices are confirmed in writing before we begin.
