A large proportion of the machines we sell go to elderly customers who need a reliable, simple computer to stay in touch with family, access online services, and remain independent — but who do not need or want to spend hundreds of pounds on a brand-new machine. We take genuine care with these sales: we set up the machine simply and clearly, make sure it is working perfectly before it leaves, and we are available for follow-up support if needed. A well-prepared refurbished business-grade laptop or desktop is often a far better choice for this use case than a cheap new budget machine.
Local charities and community organisations
We supply computers to local West Midlands charities and community organisations at affordable or donated rates. If you represent a charity or community group with a genuine need for reliable equipment, contact us — we will do what we can to help within our available stock.
Budget-conscious home users and students
Students, people returning to the job market, families who need a second machine, and anyone who wants a capable computer without paying new prices are all well served by our refurbished stock. Business-grade hardware — the Dell Latitudes, HP EliteBooks, and Lenovo ThinkPads that make up most of our stock — is built to commercial specification and significantly more durable than equivalent consumer-grade machines of the same age.
Higher-specification machines — sold at market rates
Where collected equipment is recent, high-specification, or of significant residual value, it is refurbished to the same high standard and priced at market rates. Recent-generation business laptops and well-specced workstations are sold to buyers who want quality hardware at a fair price — without the new-in-box premium. All carry the same warranty and data-clean guarantee regardless of price point.
Where our stock comes from
All of our refurbished equipment comes from business IT collections — companies across the West Midlands donating their old machines when they refresh their hardware. This means our stock is predominantly business-grade: Dell Optiplex desktops and Latitude laptops, HP EliteDesk and EliteBook, Lenovo ThinkCentre and ThinkPad. Equipment built to commercial specification, maintained in managed office environments, and far more durable than equivalent consumer hardware. We do not buy from general auctions or unknown sources.
What we do before a machine goes on sale
Secure data wipe — with a certificate
Every storage device is processed through our licensed data destruction software before any other work begins. The software generates a certificate for each drive recording its serial number, wipe method, and date of completion. No personal or business data from any previous owner remains on any machine we sell. See our secure data destruction page for full detail.
Full hardware test
We test every component: RAM (Memtest86 pass), storage (SMART diagnostics and read/write performance), screen (all pixels, backlight), keyboard and trackpad (every key), battery condition, ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and system stability under load. Any component that does not pass is repaired or replaced before the machine is listed for sale.
Clean Windows installation
Every machine is sold with a clean, genuine Windows installation — activated using the device’s embedded digital licence or a legitimately sourced key. No bloatware, no trial software, no residual data. Ready to use from day one.
Cosmetic grading
Devices are cleaned inside and out and graded honestly. Grade A: excellent condition, minimal cosmetic wear. Grade B: light marks consistent with office use, fully functional. Grade C: visible cosmetic wear, fully functional — ideal where appearance is not a priority. Grade is always stated clearly.
Warranty
All refurbished machines carry a 90-day return-to-workshop warranty covering hardware faults. If a hardware fault develops within 90 days of purchase, bring or send the device back to us and we will repair it at no charge. Standard consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to all sales.

Local customers are welcome to view machines in person at our West Bromwich workshop — call ahead to arrange a time. We are at 4 Atlas Grove, West Bromwich, B70 9EB, open Monday to Friday 9am–6pm, Saturday 9am–12pm.
Bulk supply for charities and organisations
We supply multiple machines to charities, community organisations, and small businesses at a discounted per-unit rate. If you need five or more machines for a community computer suite, a charity office, or a small business setup, contact us to discuss requirements. We are particularly keen to support West Midlands community projects and will always do our best to accommodate genuine local need.
