Repair workshop spare parts
Many machines — or their components — go directly into our workshop as spare parts and repair stock. Screens, keyboards, RAM, storage drives, and power supplies harvested from donated machines go into repairing other customers’ devices, keeping repair costs down and more machines in service. Nothing that has useful life left is discarded.
Higher-specification machines sold at market rates
Where collected equipment is recent or high-specification — a current-generation business laptop, a well-specced workstation — it is refurbished thoroughly and sold at market rates through our refurbished hardware channel. This revenue is what makes the collection service financially viable and allows us to supply affordable machines to those who need them most.
Data destruction — before anything else
Licensed software, per-drive certificates
Before any machine is assessed, moved, or used in any way, every storage device it contains is processed through our licensed data destruction software, registered to Mojoo Limited. The software carries out a verified secure wipe and generates a certificate of destruction for each individual drive — recording the drive’s make, model, serial number, wipe method, and date and time of completion. If you need copies of these certificates for your GDPR, data protection, or asset disposal records, we provide them. Drives that cannot be wiped are physically destroyed. No exceptions.
