Slow computer — in-home diagnosis and fix
If your computer has become painfully slow but you cannot easily transport it, we come to you. We run diagnostics on-site, identify whether the cause is a failing hard drive, insufficient RAM, malware, or accumulated software bloat, and carry out the repair or upgrade during the same visit wherever possible. Parts needed for upgrades may require a follow-up visit if they are not in stock.
Wi-Fi and broadband help
Slow Wi-Fi, dead spots in certain rooms, devices that drop off the network, or a new router that needs configuring — these problems need someone physically present to test signal strength, check cable connections, reposition equipment, and configure settings correctly. Helping older family members with technology
We regularly visit elderly residents across the West Midlands to help with new tablets, laptops, smart TVs, and video calling apps — walking through everything step by step at a pace that suits the person, not the engineer. We are patient, we do not use jargon, and we are happy to write down notes or set up simple reminders so the person can refer back after we have left. If you are arranging this for a parent or grandparent, we are very used to coordinating with the family member who made the booking.
Printer setup and troubleshooting
Getting a printer to work reliably on a home network is genuinely fiddly — especially wireless printers that drop off the network after every power cut. We set printers up correctly from scratch, configure them to work with all devices in your home, and show you how to reconnect quickly if they do drop off. Virus and malware removal at home
If your computer has been infected and you are not comfortable following instructions over the phone or remotely, we come to you. We carry out a full malware and virus removal on-site, set up proper antivirus protection, and make sure your machine is clean and secure before we leave.
Home visit pricing
Our standard home visit rate is £85 for the first hour, then £55 per hour after that. For most home users, our flat-rate 2-hour home visit slot at £130 is the best value — it covers the majority of single-task visits (new PC setup, Wi-Fi fix, printer configuration) and you know the cost upfront. There is no separate callout fee. If we attend and cannot resolve the fault, you will not be charged for the visit.

We cover a wide area across the West Midlands from our West Bromwich base. Regular home visit areas include West Bromwich, Sandwell, Birmingham, Walsall, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Tipton, Oldbury, Smethwick, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Sutton Coldfield, and Solihull. For locations beyond a 15-mile radius of West Bromwich B70, please call ahead to confirm availability.
